How to work out your discipline.
Summer it's over...and, like any season, I often hear from those who, gripped by guilt, decide it's time to punish their weaknesses.
I do not mean "punishing" with a diet or forcing oneself to go to the gym instead of having lunch or going for an early morning run. The real punishment we inflict on ourselves is to give ourselves a goal that we already know we will never (or almost never...) achieve. This is where the problem of training without discipline comes in.
The need for redemption causes us to flounder and our brains later sit with five-thousand-four-hundred-twenty-two different excuses not to proceed.
We begun creating ways out saying "I can skip today as it's raining", "I've got migrain", "I'm sweting","it's too hot", it's chilling outside" This way out is simply a breach of commitment. And this is already a defeat And that is a punishment that you possibly inflict on yourself

WHat can you do?
Are you asking me WHAT TO DO? There is no on/off button, let alone a tantric phrase you have to say to yourself in the mirror to change your mind. The truth is that first you have to come up with your own idea. And that is: WHAT IS THAT I TRULY DESIRE (as Lucifer says)?
If you were really clear about what you want, you would bend over backwards to get it. You must want it so badly that you can stand up to your agglomeration of neurons that day after day tries to convince you to stop trying.

The one tool you need is: DISCIPLINE.
Do you think Mozart was born a musician or that Ronaldo did the "the scarf" while still in his mother's womb?
Do you think that in order to be able to dance like Roberto Bolle or play the violin like Paganini, all we have to do is give ourselves a good intention to do the magic?

Have you found what keeps you up at night and what is constantly rattling around in your brain?
Do you like it so much that you realise it is what you always wanted or are you still uncertain and thinking mainly about what you do not want?
Do you keep moving away from something but not getting closer to anything?
Really sorry, my friend! All the myths you know, to reach certain levels, train (or have trained) at least 8 hours a day. They sleep (or have slept) at least 7 hours a night and follow a strict physical and psychological discipline. To reach the top, you have to do your best. You can decide to stop at a certain level and it may be part of your goal but getting there, starting, putting yourself out there, requires discipline
What is DISCIPLINE?
Discipline is repeated practice that becomes habit.
Habit becomes your personality
Your personality will drive your actions.
To begin with, I can only tell you that you have to put love into what you want to do or become. Love for yourself, and for what you will become.
Everything must become a ritual. You have to prepare yourself as for a unique event that will be repeated every time. You must be accountable for what you have chosen. Look yourself in the mirror during the process and prove you wrong.

Immerse yourself body and soul in putting together all the elements you need to fulfil your purpose. Like when, as a child before school started, you chose the colours, diary, exercise books and pencil case for your new school year
This will be the warm-up for tackling the tasks you set yourself.
Start training to achieve what you have dreamed of. and to do so you make sure youi really love your dream. This is the secret to pursuing a goal. Before saying it out loud declare the commitment to yourself.
We will talk about this in more detail later. In the meantime, if you love running (like I do) or have decided to get on the track visit this link that inspired me.
